Taste Test: Best Salsa

I think the DL Jardine's 7J Ranch Medium Chipotle should have been considered. Best salsa on the market in my humble opinion. Also, the chipotle salsa from The Fresh Market makes an adequate substitute when unable to find 7J Ranch.

This is incredibly difficult as have had so many good meals while traveling but I would have to say the lamb empanada as well as the overall experience at Norman's in Coral Gables, FL has to be up there.

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Two Peter Luger Steaks

A new york strip, about 16 ounces, nice char on the outside and a warm, red medium rare center such that with every bite you get a textural experience beyond compare. I tend to find I often end up preferring my own steak from own grill with nothing more than a shake of sea salt and freshly ground pepper sprinkled on each side before searing on the grill, turning the heat down and letting it make perfection. For the record a filet works in this manner as well!

There is nothing better than a high-quality, hardwood smoked, thick-sliced piece of bacon cooked just to the point of not limping and providing a nice smoky and salty taste on the palate with a just-beyond-chewy feel on the teeth. That is good breakfast food!!!!!
