In Defense of Decaf

This article is near and dear to my heart. Had to give up caffeine because it triggered my migraines, and a year and a half later I STILL crave coffee every day. It's so hard to find a decent cup, let alone a GOOD one!

I make a very minimalist sort of dish with fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzerella tossed in olive oil. Then I pour it over hot linguine and toss it all together so the cheese melts. Yum!

Cook the Book: The Essence of Chocolate

I made Ina Garten's Beatty's Chocolate cake with Chocolate buttercream icing a couple of weeks for girl's night. That cake was gone by the end of the night (there were only a few of us there)! It's the best cake I've ever had, maybe more so because I made it myself!

Pat's Pizza: House-made Sausage and a Perfect Crust Make One Great Pizza

I've never had Pat's, but from the look of it, it is very similiar to Pizza King in East Central Indiana, and one of the best pizza joints around here (in my humble opinion anyways). If you are ever north of Indianapolis, "ring the king!" The small chain is native to Muncie, but there are restaurants scattered throughout northern Indiana. There may be some in the southern part of the state that I don't know about, but I don't travel that way much.
