I think that you missed the point of his article. My take-away was an admonishment to be more concise, more interesting or to shut up and drink. It's nice to have more variety in discourse about food and drink. I'm very tired of always using (and hearing) the same adjectives too. There comes a time when you should think about just enjoying your wine instead of describing it.

I have to call BS on some of your environmentalism points. It takes a lot more land and grain, water to raise livestock than it does to make foods for a human's plant-based diet.
