Snapshots from the UK: Pizza Express's Leggera Pizzas

I eat at pizza express a lot too, especially since they are always doing offers. But actually i feel that cutting a hole in the middle of a pizza is slightly insulting. Its like they are saying, "hey fatty, we are taking out the middle of your pizza and putting in a salad" lol. Still, whats cool is that can get the nutritional info for everything on the menu there. For just a little bit more calories, i rather have a regular pizza. Nobody needs to cut a hole in my pizza for me, thank you very much ;)

12 Poutines in 12 Days in Vancouver

I don't care so much about how "authentic" the food I eat is. To give you an example the best churros I ever had were in Belgium (even after i tried them several times in Barcelona). Food is subjective. To me, all that matters is it tastes good and it makes me happy. Phyllis and her hubby looked like they were having a good time. Thats what food is all about!

I live in the UK, and you can find these pizzas in any supermarket here. I think they are the best frozen pizzas you can buy. Really nice thin crust which comes out nice and crispy if you bake it on a proper pan. My favorite is the mushroom pizza. In other European countries you get different flavors that you cant get in England (like spinach, which I would love to try). The regular Ristorante is quite nice. Good use of mozzarella and good flavoring of basil pesto.

PS-about the raw meat on the towel, sorry! I am not usually this careless-I guess I was just caught up in the moment and the excitment of the filming! Thank you!

My only issue with the video is the flagrant cross contamination that occurs. She touch the meat and then the spices without hand washing. As many have mentioned she also appears to use one cloth to wipe her hand through the process which is contaminated with raw lamb.

They put themselves out there creatively and I don't fault them for that. As to her wardrobe; While dress/lingerie is not practical I think it's a non-issue. I've fried bacon shirtless because I was too darn lazy to go upstairs and dress appropriately. I doubt I'm the only one. There is no need to be mean to her on a personal level.

Video: 'Hot Kitchen' Cook Dishes Up Something 'a Little More Appetizing'

Oh please, the whole thing is ill-conceived and badly done. It doesn't matter whether it's one dude with a Betamovie or the team from CSI shooting it. A badly executed concept is a badly executed concept. What is this supposed to be anyway, cooking for suburban swingers? If the point of the show was to make cooking sexy and or romantic, they have failed miserably. Apart from the trashy outfits there's nothing sexy going on in that kitchen. And what's the point of the outfits anyway? Promoting kitchen injuries? All that exposed skin is just a bad idea. The whole thing is just awkward from start to finish. I'm sure the poor girl is trying her best, and she's actually not so bad in front the camera, but this show doesn't deliver anything beyond icky awkwardness.

It is quite obvious that the people who have written below have not done any research. You all didn't go to their website and actually see that. It is just the two of them doing this show. Trying to spead a little love back into the world. I think their show has a lot of potential. The rest of you on this page below obviously has been along time since you could fit into something even close to what she is wearing. Your jaded image shines through your cheap words. I say keep it up hot kitchen. I found your show very refreshing for this day and age. And I could tell that each episode you have posted has gotten better and better. Don't give up I'm a fan and so is my sister and her husband. Who all think you got something

Wow. That was...strange?
Her outfit is the worst thing about this, but coming reeaal close was her constantly wiping her dirty hands on that towel. Gross.
So is this food porn, then?

Did she really just touch raw meat, then wipe her hands on the kitchen towel?

Brooklyn Water Bagels in Delray Beach, Florida

Took home bagels from this place and then way beyond bagels, utopia bagels, and bagel works. Guess what? All picked the utopia to be ny! Don't tell me it is about the water. Sick of hearing that crap

Hello, if anyone is in the Brandon Fl area, check out Brandon Bagels, I am the baker there and I quarantee our bagels are one of the best around, I have 20+ years experience and I also make bialys.
This nonsense with N.Y water to me is just not so, it has to do with the equipment too not just the water.

From Serious Eats

Brooklyn Water Bagels in Delray Beach, Florida

This place is a joke. The bagels taste nothing like NY bagels. The water is a gimmick as there is more to a great NY bagel than so called Brooklyn water. Their bagels are so chewy that my jaw hurt for a day. You can get better bagels and cream cheese at The Boys across the street and for 1/2 the price. The only way to get real NY bagels is to go to NY or have them sent FedEx to you.
