Milwaukee: What's All the Hype About at AJ Bombers?

It's hard for me to take this article seriously. Mainly because it takes you about five paragraphs before you actually talk about the food. I expect more from A Hamburger Today and Serious Eats.

Like many of the comments, I, too, feel like you came to AJ Bombers convinced that you weren't going to have a good time, the food was going to be sucky and that you had to tweet your order.

I had a bad burger at AJ Bombers -- I do think the Bomber Burger is too greasy for me. But I love the Barrie Burger (the one with peanut butter) and after tasting the Milwaukee Burger, I can see why AJ Bombers won Food Wars. And, the Buffalo chicken eggrolls are so freaking good. I just don't think it's fair to write what reads like a pretty negative review after eating 1 meal.

I don't think what Joe Sorge does on Twitter is aggressive -- Is it aggressive that he actually interacts with his customers via Twitter? I don't think so. I think it's pretty cool, actually. And, I think the atmosphere there is pretty great. It's fun. It's a freaking burger place. (One that was smoke-free long before it was state-mandated -- another point for AJ Bombers)

It's pretty cool that MKE is part of A Hamburger Today. I just hope you don't review a place like The Safe House and complain that you need a password to get in.

Taste Test: Store-Bought Turkey Gravy

Making my first Thanksgiving dinner since the man is on duty with the fire department, so we can't travel. I want to try and make my own gravy, but it scares me. Might buy a bottle or two of Heinz.

Thanksgiving Foods We Love to Hate

I love canned cranberries, especially the indentations on the can, telling you where to cut.

But to reclaim my foodie street cred, I also like the homemade stuff that I make, too.

And green bean casserole, as pedestrian as it is, reminds me of my grandma and home. I need those warm and fuzzy feeling around the holidays.

Jello Pudding Pops! I definitely miss those, and Ecto-Cooler.
I also miss the Monterey jack Doritos, and the 3-D ones.

Also, for some reason, I really liked the weird tacos that Burger King sold for a while. They were incredibly greasy, but pretty damn delicious.
