I also miss the Monterey jack Doritos, and the 3-D ones.
Also, for some reason, I really liked the weird tacos that Burger King sold for a while. They were incredibly greasy, but pretty damn delicious.
ok, ok ok...i've got just a few remarks here. i certainly remember Keebler's Magic Middles. I sweeeaaar i can still TASTE them. Also, Planter's Cheez Balls!!!! Woot! p.s. i heard the cheezballs are making a come-back at Blockbuster stores....oh yah...i'll be there tomorrow!!

Hey- I grew up and live in Tennessee. We have Spumoni here. My Dad grew up in southern GA. He had it as a child there. We both love it.
I think it is just a matter of taste and if you go to the right places outside of areas with Italian populations.
And I think its popularity it on the rise! In my city there has only been one place to get it that I ever knew of, and now there are two or three. It is a city, but a small one.
Be careful about what you wish to come back. I've had several childhood favorites come back into my life and they just aren't as good as I remembered them to be. It was more of a let-down than a thrill! I wish now I had just stayed with the memories.......

I manage a grocery store in Florida, and I just found out today that Keebler is bringing back the Sunshine Hydrox cookies for the 100th anniversary. In their original package. I guess if they do good they'll keep them around, if not, they'll disappear again. We're supposed to get them in on Friday.
Anybody remember Sprinkle Spangles? Anybody? It was a cereal made of star shapes, sprinkles and lots of sugar. Beautiful rocket fuel.
I just found some cookies that are a lot like Magic Middles at a truck stop in Italy. They're called Grisbi. Google them online.
Nabisco chipsters and a glass of chocolate milk made with PDQ.........yummm.....and then for dessert, maybe a Milkshake candy bar.
Does anyone remember the little potato chips that came in a box? They looked like little uninflated balloons. They were really crispy, and it seems like there was a hot air balloon on the box. They were always near the Bugles. They kind of tasted like Munchos. I have been thinking about these for years.
Had to join up just to add this comment: I totally miss Fizzies, the fruity tablets that you dropped in cold water to make instant carbonated beverages. The chemists couldn't get it to work or taste quite the same after cyclamates were banned in 1969. Although is supposedly reformulated good as new in 2006. http://www.oldtimecandy.com/fizzies.htm
