Chestnut Torte
I can't believe you just posted about this! I'm head-over-heels in love with Alice Medrich's Pure Dessert, and in fact just blogged about her Chestnut Pound Cake the other day. It was phenomenal--a very rich, dense and moist cake that just oozed chestnut flavor.
This recipe for her Chestnut Torte looks equally as scrumptious...I think I may have to try it. I love chestnuts. Thanks for posting!

definitely! i'm a vegetarian, and my husband isn't, so i make plenty of things for him that i won't eat. i should say, however, that i follow a vegetarian lifestyle for personal health reasons and not because i believe eating meat is unethical, so i have no problem making him meat-based dishes.

i definitely deviate. much of that is due to me wanting to make recipes (especially those for baked goods) healthier. i'll sub in whole wheat flour, flax seeds and yogurt a lot of the times.
