The Burgers are All the Rage at Kraze Burger in South Korea
This is for me a sample of unhealthy snacks -- If and only if- no veggies are included. But since there are - then this is healthy for me.

Thanks for the advice, looking forward to my next trip up!
I'm actually leaving Korea in about six weeks time but relocating to Seoul in January 2010. Machellebelle, anywhere good there for fish and chips? I've been getting these cravings of late...

Looks like the Kraze Burger in Busan is definitely a step up from the ones you find in Seoul. I've yet to get a good burger from any of the Kraze Burgers I've been to in Seoul. I think it has something to do with their awful buns which taste like laboratory made enriched white bread. I think 'Freshness Burger' has the same problem but at least they make up for it by having better assortment of condiments. It's unfortunate because Kraze Burgers has a location in the building next door to where I live and even then I'll refuse to walk the 30 seconds to order from there.
The hamburger haven in Seoul is definitely in Itaewon. In addition to Wolfhound you should check out Nashville Steakhouse. They have both and upstairs (if you want to shoot some pool) and a downstairs section and you can order some great chili fries to go with their excellent cheeseburgers.
If you're outside of Itaewon then you might want to check out the Smokey Saloon chain of restaurants. Their Smokey BBQ Burger overflows with a thick tangy sauce and they are served with American style pickles. The main problem with Smokey Saloon is they take forever to make your order and the quality of their patties have noticeably gone down in the last year or so. However, they still make a pretty tasty burger.

Oh my gosh, I love Kraze Burger. I don't like most western-like chain restaurants in Korea, but that's one I do. I don't eat red meat, but the option where you can make your own burger-- I suggest the wheat bun, chicken breast, all the veggies, hold the cheese, honey teriyaki/bbq sauce, and egg. It's a bit overkill, but for me, half of that is a good meal.
I second the Wolfhound for good food, though I'm more of the fish-n-chips girl. My friends have said Baby Guinness, also in Itaewon, has good burgers.
I think for western food, Kraze Burger is reasonably priced. I mean, when you go into a slow-dining western-style like Outback or Uno's in Korea, you pay an exorbitant amount more than you would at Kraze Burger.
Are you staying in Korea for much longer?

I can't say I thought it was that overpriced but in Busan the western food options are more-or-less limited to Outback Steakhouse and McDonalds! I'll have to check out Wolfhound Burger next time I'm in Seoul though!

Your complaint about the service hits the mark about Kraze Burger and the Korean approach to much western food. It's an exercise in pretension. All the food is ridiculously overpriced, and it feeds into the Korean tendency to overpay for things without questioning the quality just to show off. The restaurant looks like someone saw a picture of Johnny Rocket's in a magazine and copied it, but didn't understand the atmosphere. It's cold, mechanical and overpriced. I don't know about Busan, but if you're in Seoul, the Wolfhound Burger does it better, much better, without all the pretension and at a much lower price.
