Cookin' Turkey the day before?
Has anyone cooked the turkey the day before? Any thoughts/Tips?
I get it! I get it! :D
I will definitely need to try these!
Windex and a paper towel works well for our SS refrigerator.
OH and Fagers Island is a good place too...http://www.fagers.com
Seacrets is a fun cant miss place in OC. Not fine dining but yummy jerk chicken and fun place to hang out. http://seacrets.com/
I I would suggest to do what works best for you in terms of utensil storage. I used to store my every day utensils in a container but they a) got dusty/dirty too easily and b) always seemed to get tangled up when I pulled something out. I've found that a drawer works best for me now. Granted, I was able to choose the drawer best suited for my needs because we recently remodeled our house. Located right next to the stove, it is wide and shallow enough that nothing gets tangled, yet deep enough to hold various sized tongs (AND the spider).
My recent breakfast has been Turkey, mayo and spicy sweet pickles on a potato roll.
What an interesting thread to read through...
I wonder though... What if it was Le Creuset that had sponsored the question? or Williams Sonoma perhaps?
We use the microwave all the time for steaming veggies, baking sweet potatoes, cooking bacon, boiling water for oatmeal, cream of wheat and couscous. I haven't tried cooking meat but based on xutopia's suggestion, Im going to try salmon.
My Vote is for Cantler's in Annapolis!!!
CORNDOGS!!!
To me, coriander has a citrusy smell and it is the color of dark sand.
Amaretto cookies - My parents would always buy them for Christmas parties and would save a handful for me. These days, just the smell makes me gag.
I've found great recipes on
www.recipezaar.com .
Im attempting to start from seeds this year - I just bought seeds for basil, mint, tomatoes and green beans - wish me luck ****
Ham and cheese stuffed french toast and blue cheese stuffed olives....not at the same time though :p
Undercooked lamb at an Easter dinner. What made it so bad was that I had just found out I was pregnant (at the stage where the smell of water made me ill) and we hadnt told anyone yet. I spent most of the dinner hiding pieces of meat under my mashed potatoes like a kid ;)
Many many times, I have grabbed the handle of a saute pan after pulling it out of a 400 + degree oven. Usually, as I am mindlessly reaching for the handle, I am thinking 'I really need to put the oven mitt on that handle before I grab it' then half a second later; "AGGHHHHHFUUU*KSONNOVAB*HMUTHAFER!!!"
I think she awesome and her recipes ROCK.
Oh gosh...do I have to pick just one?!?! Fine..Ribeye with a side of Filet Mignon.
Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup, crackers and Coke. Start with little bitty sips of the broth, then onto the noodles and once you can handle the chicken and veggies, you know you are going to be O.K.!
@love2cook- I feel your pain. I get all excited when I go to Annapolis Mall and can get California Pizza Kitchen ;)
they would toootally make your konacoffee (dot com!) taste awesome!
all day..everyday ;)

Hey all!
My first born is starting Kindergarten next week (booohooo) and, as we've seen, school lunches leave allot to be desired.
So, Serious Eaters, give me some ideas...
What do you pack in your kids lunch?
You are spending an afternoon on a boat and you need to bring lunch and snacks. You have 1 hour to shop and prepare...what's on your menu?
Hey all! I really need your help. I have a 6 ' tall, stand alone freezer FULL of ground venison and my family is getting tired of my meatloaf, tacos and chili. Can you please share with me any recipes/suggestions you all have that use either ground beef or ground venison.
My family thanks you!
Hey All!
I've seen the no-knead bread recipes that are baked in a dutch oven. Can any bread recipe be baked in a Dutch Oven? If so, how would the baking time and temp need to be adjusted?
In an attempt to reduce preservatives, HFCS, etc in my family's diet, I've started making bread using an automatic bread maker. I've been successful making white bread but when I've tried whole wheat, the loaf turns out comically bad- heavy, dry and falling apart. Any suggestions or recipes?
Hi all!
I'm currently in the 'past due' days of pregnancy...does anyone have any good 'labor inducing' food ideas or stories?
Thanks!
hammondcheese hasn't favorited a post yet.
The homemade version of CPK's Garlic Herb Ranch dressing is amazing! It's creamy, spicy and tangy.
