Radius is not so good -- too greasy and too much cheese. Ill second Washington Deli (its near my office and is good), but its not as good as Vace. Not only is VACE the best in dc, its the cheapest (at like $1.50 a slice, $9 for large plain pie).
what the article doesnt tell you is that hte pizzas are tiny and EXPENSIVE, like $14 for a 7inch pizza. VACE is still the best pizza in dc, at $9 for a 16inch pie.
no reason for the pies at comet to be so expensive. plus, everyone i know who has been there has left hungry.

It's so true. That's long been the litmus test at Slice. (Even in pre-Slice days that was my litmus test.)
Hackmuth is right - Vace is hands down the best pie in DC. Folks who like Radius think that a good pizza means heapings of greasy cheese - cuz there's nothing really else going on with that pizza (their sauce and crust are nothing special). I think the litmus test for any place is how good their plain cheese slice is. From there the topings are just bonuses - if they can't do the plain pie, then forget the rest. Radius and Comet may have some fancy contemporary pies, but they fall short with the fundementals and fail the litmus test in my opion.
