Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Korin Knife
I use a Shun Chef's knife for most things, but my favorite knife in the world is my dad's custom made Japanese knife. We went and had it made when we were in Tokyo. Great memory, great sharp knife.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box
Plain. Straight up raw, with my fingers, washed down with beer.
Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: La Quercia's Cured Meat Experience
completely on its own. I always try to serve it with something and end up eating it first.

About granita
Location: Los Angeles, CA
About: A lively, snarky, 20-something journalism student and pastry chef with a weird cheese allergy and the kookiest kitchen ever. Seriously. There are doll hands coming out of the wall.
Favorite foods: Bacon, sushi, sour cherries, ice cream (even the weird flavors served at scoops in LA), pig, bacon wrapped hot dogs with onions, pineapple, and jalapeno, fresh baked bread, Mashed potatoes, dad's salmon pasta
Last bite on earth: KFC fried chicken in a biscuit with butter, gravy, and honey.

I throw a thanksgiving party for friends a couple weeks before the actual holiday and I ask that people bring any hard liquor they'd like to drink. I always do all the food, have mixers, wine, and beer, and make mulled cider but I'm still starting out and can't afford to stock everyone's booze of choice.
