I was in Chicago about a month ago and tried three legendary deep dish joints: Pizano's, Giordano's and Lou Malnati's. They're all VERY good and authentic. Then I realized, that I had the best right here at home in San Diego. Lefty's (in the North Park section) is easily better than all of them! The owners truly brought a taste of their hometown to San Diego. Slice staffers, if you haven't been, you really should.
