The Best Bread Baskets in New York City

Not a bread "basket" per se, but Lupa has IMHO the best bread in all of NYC. I could eat their focaccia (and not but it) for the rest of my life, especially when combined with their terrific olive oil.

How Do You Grill Your Cheese?

I love using a few different types of cheeses...and grating them...and mixing them throughout the sandwich - like a gruyere, a cheddar, and a grana padano.

Where did i learn the grating trick? From the "chefs" at one of the finest purveyors of grilled cheese west of the Mississippi - Norm's Diner in Los Angeles. (But, trust me, they are not using gruyere, cheddar, and grana)

Mmmmmmmm.

A Visit to London's Borough Market

Is the grilled cheese man (Bill Oglethorpe was his name, if i remember correctly) still there?
I last saw him my last trip to London just about 3 years ago and at the time there were troubles - he'd been chased away at least once.
Anybody know?
