Giulia Pines
Giulia Pines is a New York-born, Berlin-based writer, editor, and translator with a love for all things edible. She moved to Berlin for the strangest of reasons - to study German - and ended up falling in love with the city and the language. She has released two books about the city, Slow Travel Berlin's 100 Favourite Places, which she co-wrote, -edited, and -published, and Finding Your Feet in Berlin: A Guide to Making a Home in the Hauptstadt, published by the Berlin Story Verlag. She was a contributor to the last two editions of the Fodor's Guide to Germany and the first ever Fodor's Guide to Berlin, and has written for publications like NPR Berlin, Time Out Berlin, Thrillist, Vice Munchies, and Slow Travel Berlin.
- Location: Berlin
- Favorite foods: Dumplings, noodles, and anything really spicy. Sourdough bread (especially when I bake it myself) and ice cream (especially when I make it myself). Anything that must be grown, gathered, or foraged, then made into salad, pie, or jam.
