Reality Check: Burger King's BK Toppers

Just tried a Deluxe tonight, and I regret my choice. All I could taste was lettuce and bun.

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box

My fondest pork memory was my first pig roast. It was over 20 years ago, but I can still recall every sight, taste and smell from that evening.

Sunday Supper: Pierogies

FYI: The word "pierogies" does not exist. Pierogi is plural, pierog is singular.

Now that that's said, pass the plate! (And that Iron City beer.)

Soft Tofu Restaurant (So Kong Dong) in Fort Lee, New Jersey

The food might be good, but it looks like the dirtiest kitchen I've ever seen outside of Chinatown in Manhattan.

Mile End: Great Dinner Menu, But Skip the Smoked Meat

I also disagree with your opinion of the smoked meat. I had it once this summer, took another order home with me (for smoked meat pasta sauce - try it!) and can't wait to get back to Brooklyn for more.

Katz's pastrami is still my first choice, but Mile End smoked meat is a solid silver medalist.

Seriously Delicious Holiday Giveaway: Russ & Daughters Brunch Package

It used to be steak & eggs, but ever since Petite Soo Chow moved to my street in New Jersey, the pan fried pork buns that they only make on weekend mornings have taken my top stop.

Hill Country Chicken: Are Fried Chicken and Pie the New Burgers and Cupcakes?

The chicken was good, but not $27 good. The pies were such a disappointment! Could not taste any cheddar in the "apple cheddar" pie. And I would have preferred the pie to be warmed up a little, not ice cold. Next time, I'll just go up a block back to the original Hill Country.

Serious Heat: Ketchups to Set Your Mouth on Fire

While Heinz with Tabasco is good, the Tabasco Spicy Ketchup direct from McIlhenny is better.

Roger Ebert on His Love for Steak 'n Shake

Steak 'n Shake is definitely in my top 3 burger chains. Every time I head west into Pittsburgh, I make sure to make at least one stop there (usually the midnight snack). The burgers are excellent, the shakes are awesome, and unlike yabooo, I've always have good service. I thought the fries were the most disappointing part (go for the chili instead), and I have noticed the portions shrinking as well. Bring back the goods, SnS! And continue eastward and give Five Guys a run for their money!
