@Elizabeth88: YES! that sandwich is amazing. very likely my favorite in PDX.

And actually, their porchetta is pretty amazing, but I seem to feel just zapped for a day or two after eating basically a fat sandwich.

@BitchinFixins: I put them in a wired strainer (not mesh) under cold running water and shook them around. The wire took most the orange stuff off, and I just picked through a few bigger chunks.

I agree with CptJake, Lardo is amazing. Much more meat, and they have a caper aioli mmmmmmm.

However, Laurelhurst Market does have some great steaks!

wow, I've eaten there well over a dozen times, and never thought to try their burger. Their other food is typically very good.

These descriptions are pretty accurate, but I still enjoy the food here more than McD's, and BK. I would much prefer my food to be undersalted, and add my own later.

Some more Burgerville Protips: The strawberry shakes in the summer are amazing, they use fresh local strawberries. Also, the rosemary shoestring fries (seasonal) are also very good. And my favorite is ordering a side of the garlic aioli. Makes the mediocre fries awesome.

A little late coming here, but this recipe was great! Next time, I would just use the whole can of chicken broth (1 3/4c)

My lovely wife got ordered me 4 pizzas by mail for christmas (Lou's is a mandatory destination when I visit Chicago). I was surprised that I like the pepperoni almost as much as the sausage (almost). They seemed to come par-baked, and you can bake them up straight out of the freezer. They were very good, but not quite as good as the real deal at the restaurant.

Probably one of the better christmas presents I've gotten!

I agree, the wings are pretty amazing. Not really sure why, as I'm not a huge fan of fish sauce, but something about it works, and works very well.

Made this yesterday for thanksgiving. everyone agreed it was fantastic! It was my wife and my favorite part of the meal, actually! I also threw in a couple of peeled and diced apples in with the veggies.

My one note is that it made WAY too much for a 13x9 pan, so I put the remainder in a freezer bag.

I do really miss Pizza Bob's in Hale'iwa on Oahu. If you're up there, and need a snack, it's a great place. Sit outside if you can.

I actually think Boston's is pretty decent. not anything to go out of your way for, but pretty solid. I've only been to the one in Kapolei.
