Our plan is that people post what they're growing online, and then whoever needs that specific produce will phone/email the person growing it.
In terms of collecting the produce, it will either be
a) the person requesting the produce will drive to the other persons house and personally hand pick what they want, so the item will be freshly picked as it will still be in the garden. (the trade is based around your hometown (local) so going around homes may not be too difficult)
b) we will provide the means of transport. So the plan will be that once a week, we will go around homes to pick out the requested produce and then deliver them on the same or next day. (but that will lose the feeling of connecting with others who have the same passion as you)
And plus, an ad is only launched when a service has been given the all clear to go ahead with their plans, while my idea has no intention to be launched as it is a "what if" scenario as I have said before.
I'm sorry but I can't grasp onto your logic of a business idea being a "freebie ad" as this is a consumer to consumer business model. This is by no means a "try before you buy" intention as that is what I define as a "freebie".
@berzerkeley, thanks! I will definitely take that into consideration.
@boobird, this is not a "freebie ad" and nor is it an ad of any kind. I have written this post in hope that people who are passionate about food will give their opinion about a project I'm working on. This does not mean that the service will become a reality, but will remain as just a "what if" scenario.
I'm really sorry guys, but I can't change the description. Just replace "foodies" with "people with a passion for food" if you're unsatisfied with what I've said.
I'm sorry that it has offended you berzerkeley, but that's the target market I'm aiming for.
