Over priced cutesy food that is so chi-chi.
Five buck for a hot dog.
Give me a break, bunch of baloney.
So crowded and dusty.
Almost a satire of itself ten buck a quart of pickles.
Puhleez.
To be rude as we say in the real Brooklyn, eat poop and ide.
Who dreams yp this stuff.
Why don't they just install vacuums at the entrance to suck out our money and save us the time.

The Best Macarons in New York City
What is the over/under on the number of months this food craze lasts.
What is the next one?
Twinkies?
Hostess cupcakes?
Wake me when it is Ebinger's black out cake or a Mary garden or a pineapple upside down crumb cake.
From a person who had the Laduree brunch on rue Jacob and can remember every morsel.

Planning an NYC/Brooklyn pizza tour?
this will be very simple
go to DiFara's and call it a day
get the sicilian with pepperoni and fresh garlic
go across the street to Isaac's bakery for rainbow cookies
your life will know be complete
btw
dont forget to donate your body to science
seriously i was there on Saturday and it was the best ever, worth every minute I spent waiting.
Trick is try to call very early and see if they answer the phone
or if possible go and place your order and then go to Totonno's
When in Coney Island go to the candy shop next to Nathan's and get a jelly apple with coconut flakes
The absolute best dessert in the world.
Patsy's East Harlem ans Arturo's also get my vote.
Artichoke sicialian is their best
My rec is just to sign up for Scott's Pizza Tour and ride with him, he is infectious and charismatic and yes I am a friend.

NYC Pizza Culture: What to Expect
as an old coot i never remember having a whole pie in Brooklyn, it was pizza by the slice only
Pizzarama and Mr Pizza.
we loved them both, Mr.Pizza had only one thumb but he sure did a mean pie and mrs pizza was always sweet to us poor street kids.
Off topic, Dom of DiFara says he remembers Pizzarama circ 1955.
The middle of my square was yet again off the charts.
It is funny how people behave there.
Almost everyone is either afraid to or simply in awe of Dom, so i have never seen such a certain pizza join.
like being in church almost
Forza Pizza

Elegante Pizzeria: A Slice of Bay Ridge
Good for him.
Too many posters turn food into a fetish.
Let us celebrate and continue to celebrate the individual.
This is the pizza of my youth in Flatbush.
A lovely older couple, at least they seemed older with heavy Italian accents put up with our nonsense.
I loved it, it was the second pizza place in the hood.
Mr. Pizza, you tried the rest now try the best.
What sticks in my mind what that he was missing a thumb, I cant remember which.
Certainly did not impede his pizza making abilities.
I sure hope they are resting in peace, they earned it.
My beloved father would let us kids have a slice after we just had Sunday dinner at Kee's the best Chinese restaurant in the world.
Never complained, just laughed.
The Lobster Cantonese, the ribs and the slice all make it to my imagined last meal on earth.
Oh yea, the pistachio ice cream is the dessert.
Flatbush was the world, with a side trip to Monticello.
Those were the days my friend.
cant believe this was all 55 years ago.
The days gone on forever and the years fly by.
Good eating to all and remember don't over think
if it is yummy to the tummy, that is all that matters.
Mello rolls anyone?
John's Pizzeria: Former Chicago Standout Lives On In Indiana
The way the pizza is cut is common around Skokie, Illinois.
Fennel tasting sausage is primo, good on them.
The sausage is New Jersey is particularly awful by the way.
Poll: What Do You Drink with Pizza?
Can someone enlighten me as to why it is so very hard to find specialty Italian beers and specialty Italian sodas as well, forget Wishniak, s a true natural as well as the birch beers.
Pepes in New Haven always have local weird but great sodas to sell.
Truly I would Like TO KNOW,it just ain't that hard.
I am truly disappointed in the folks at Manhattan Sprecial.
You almost never see it.
Gosh did they miss the boat on super caffeinated drinks.
If that garbage Red Bull made it big time, could you imagine what Manhattan Special would do with the proper marketing.
Wish I had the means to buy them and set them straight.
There's a whole world of college kids and late- nighters out there ready to drink.
Poll: What Do You Drink with Pizza?
I dont understand Pizza establishments, and Manhattan Special in particular.
Specialty drinks command a far higher markup than pizza and infinitely less labor intensive.
I my mind, every place should off draft birch beer or at lease bottle same.
Also the Pelligrino flavors and Manhattan special.
The places should offer root beer floats and manhattan specials floats.
Huge markup and all you need is breyer's french vanilla.
Kinchley's does it and it is so wonderful to cut the grease.
I guess since 90% of all places make crap I guess 90% dont have the brains and or imagination to make more money so they can use better ingredients.
Patronise only those places that have an ounce of imagination, let the rest slide.
Chicago: Nancy's, the Creator of Stuffed Pizza, Still Putting Out Good Pies
Try Rocco's on Bleecker st nyc maybe they can ship scacriedda.
Also the Italian bakeries in Bensonhurst.
Don't forget the Semolina pies
Sam Sifton Too Good for 'The City's Best Pizza'
The Times ceased to be relevant too long ago to be remembered.
Who cares what they have to say and how they say it.
Motorino for brunch is beyond wonderful.
Ten bucks is a steal but don't tell them.
Their fried egg pizza is the single best breakfast item I have ever eaten, paired with a bloody mary with plenty of horseradish it makes a perfect meal.
Dear Slice: 'You into Nettles on Pizza?'
very happy pizza brings a whole new dimension to"answer the door it's domino's"
Dear Slice: 'You into Nettles on Pizza?'
one new years eve we had baby octupus and in tokyo i had squid
neither to be ever eaten again by your's truly, grosser than gross, grosser than you ever could imagine.
Pizza is plain, anchovies after the fact.
But I must say that Motorino is Brooklyn with their fried egg pizza is my current love for all things breakfast.
Also their Bloody Mary with heavy horseradish marks the spot.
Sorry for the pun and reference to Pepe's original space in New Haven

NYC: Job Openings at Scott's Pizza Tours!
my 19 year old daughter and my 23 year old son took Scott's weekend bus tour and they still laugh about it and quote Scott weeks later.
Scott is truly one of the most special people in the world and a treasure to the pizza world.
You owe it to yourself and to your belly to take a tour no matter how much you think you know about pizza.
Adam, if you have a pizza hall of fame, Scott should be in it for his knowledge, love and sheer enthusiasim for all things pizza.
And no I am not his father or employee.
