I love to have a rich Devil's Food cake with real whipped cream on top. That's it. No frostings or glazes, just chocolate cake with whipped cream.

I think the browned-butter mashed potatoes will be a great way to spice up this comfort dish. Going to try it for sure.

The best Italian meal I've ever had was at a small walk-up Italian restaurant in Newport RI. Lucia's was cozy, authentic and intimate. We had a pepperoni brushetta to start. Farfalle bolognaise followed, along with a fetucchini alfredo. For dessert we had a lemon-marscapone cake. Everything was made to order, fragrant and drop-dead delicious. I'm wanting to repeat the whole meal right now.

The most delicious pasta dish I've ever had was in Newport, RI. It was a tiny walk-up Italian eatery that served the most authentic Italian foods . I had the farfalle with a Bolognese sauce. You could smell this fragrant sauce before it hit the table. The pasta was done perfectly and the dish was presented beautifully. I've been thinking about it ever since. Maybe it's time to go back.

My favorite roadfood spot would have to be Flo's clam shack in RI. Besides having great fried seafoods they have a sign that says....Closed During Hurricanes. You've got to love that.

in a sandwich with other fine meats & cheeses .....it can't be beat .....adds SO much flavor to everything .

Not many BBQ places here in MA. and RI. but THE BACKROAD GRILLE has my vote . Fall off the bone ribs , tender pulled pork and a great BBQ chicken ....yummy ! Also a nod to BECKY'S BBQ and FIREFLY'S .

For some reason ....the side I always look forward to ....and NEVER tire of ......is the homemade whipped yukon gold potatoes .

Honey-brined and smoked turkey ......sounds AMAZING !

I know it's a tourist trap but when I'm in NY .....I always have a ball at ROXIE'S DELI . It's hectic ....but good .

Don't recall the name but my mother collected these various small cookbooks , each dedicated to a specific food catagory ..... veggies , stews , meats , special dinners etc. Then they were all bound together in this HUGE 3 -ring binder .....and it made for a 10 lb. cookbook . I was enamored of the thing and she gave it to me when I married . Either that ...or she couldn't lift it anymore .
