What is your perfect popcorn recipe??

I feel the collective pain here! Future MIL raised her sons on junk food- bags of powdered donuts for breakfast, box mac n cheese, pizza, and a steady diet of meat and potatoes! It has been a challenge breaking my man into eating veggies but we are getting there!

The last time we visited the PMIL, I roasted a beautiful chicken and made a fresh pesto to drizzle on top, potatoes au gratin, a delicious ceasar salad- thinking to myself- there is no way they won't like this! Sadly, she was so put off by the concept of pesto that when I asked her to try it she turned white and pulled out a jar of gravy and said- I'll use this. And then she whipped out a whole other salad and sides, (complete with I can't believe it's not butter and a big loaf of white bread) she had made to "add" to the things I had made! Obviously, she thought I was trying to poison them with my crazy/fancy unprocessed food.

My mom wins on principle, but my grandmother was the star of the kitchen.

I've lived in South Florida for most of my life and the Superman flavor was a fixture of my childhood as well...often with the (disgusting! but awesome as a kid) addition of mushed up gumballs!

Have you ever tried Pizza Kitchen around 124th and US1 in Miami? It's right by a baseball park and in the same strip mall as some Thai restaurant/video game store/office building!

Fantastic pizza and really great garlic bread. It is a pick up take out spot with maybe two plastic tables if you can't wait to eat a slice...which I never could when I lived there!

Sashimi and some hot, salted edamame!
