Delicious Mangosteens: Better Than a Hot Fudge Sundae?

probably the best fruit i have ever had - you don't have to cut them open, just kinda work thru them with your thumbs and eat the goodness inside. They are kinda like a lychee without the cloying sweetness and are the perfect "cool" to the "heat" of the durian - it is all about balance.

only had them in KL, but they are well worth a try..

love the celery root, but prefer to add milk to the boiling water - it seems to coax out some more flavor.

The Cartoon Kitchen: Celery Root Purée

I made this once, It was a lot of work - just getting a celery root peeled is pretty laborious. Unless i was being 'careful about my carbs' and desperately wanted to eat something mashed-potato-y, i wouldn't consider this worth my time.

Favorite grilling sauce is Veri Veri Teriyaki by Soy Vay. Good on beef, chicken...Even though it's the same sauce, it makes the proteins taste different.
