Cook the Book: 'Baking Unplugged'
Not sure if this is funny - but, while trying to impress my in-laws one year, I made the entire turkey dinner. If I had been someone else watching this happen, I might have laughed. Instead, I was very embarrassed - I dropped the turkey while moving it to the serving platter! It sort of reminds me of watching an episode of "I Love Lucy" - except that I was Lucy! Thanks for this chance.

Weekend Book Giveaway: 'The Wine Snob's Dictionary'
taste of the vineyard, with hints of...hints of this...hints of that...I don't get it. Thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: 'Baked, New Frontiers in Baking'
My mom used to make a "made-up" version of an apple bread pudding. I still love bread pudding to this day. Delicious and comforting. Thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: 'Martha Stewart's Cooking School'
The chocolate mint wafer cookie recipe - because I am a GS adult who has such good memories of the Thin Mint cookie. Thanks for this chance!
Weekend Book Giveaway: 'Asian Dining Rules'
My cousin has a Chinese New Year celebration each year - she is not Asian, neither am I, but we love the cuisine. I still can not get the hang of the chopsticks - and it has been at least 20 years - I would say that that is my most befuddling experience. (albeit not in a restaurant) Thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: 'The Sweeter Side of Amy's Bread'
My favorite cookie to bake is pfferneuse. (hope I spelled it correctly) I only make them at the holidays - I have a very old recipe that I use, and I have not come across a recipe similiar to it ever. Thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: 'The Cook's Country Cookbook'
My favortie all-American pot-luck dish is jello salad - I know that it is not really made all that much anymore, but, I love almost any jello salad that would be brought to a pot-luck. YUM. Thanks for this opportunity.
Cook the Book: 'Giada's Kitchen'
My favorite sauce is Alfredo. Thanks for this opportunity.

pickles, absolutely! thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: 'Chocolate Epiphany'

To celebrate in China, I would order Peking Duck. YUM. To celebrate in the US, I would order lazy lobster. YUM. Thanks for this chance.
Cook the Book: New South Grilling
My dad would always have some kind of soup on the kitchen stove. I would walk home from school to have lunch during the school year. All of my friends were jealous, because they lived too far to walk home, and they "had to have sandwiches" all the time. Thanks for this opportunity!
Cook the Book: 'Mario Batali Italian Grill'
My favorite grillng condiment is not really a condiment, but, for me, a necessity. I love to side-grill vegetables. Something about the flavor of the char-grilled vegetables just spells S-U-M-M-E-R for me. Thanks for this opportunity.
Cook the Book: Wine Bar Food
CHEESE AND CRACKERS WITH MY SISTER-IN-LAWS. THANKS FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY!
