Every summer growing up, I've gone to visit my mother's family in Sicily, and my grandmother makes some killer food. I particularly like her octopus salad, a delicious combination of chewy octopus, carrot, celery, and olive oil. Lots of people wrinkle their noses at the sight of chopped tentacles, but more people should give it a try!

"Their Iced Vanilla Latte, on the other hand, ought to be renamed "Iced Vanilla Milk." I just wanted to point out that it is called Iced Vanilla Milk... Latte means milk in Italian. :)

My dad's teriyaki chicken thighs. They are so moist, and the copious amounts of onions he sautees with teriyaki before adding the thighs melt into a delicious gravy that you can spoon over the chicken... or just sop up with some crusty bread!
