When I first moved to PA from NM, I asked for a coke and was highly upset when the waitress promptly walked away without asking me what kind! Maybe she had to do something and will come back and ask me what kind. lol. Needless to say, I got a Coke when I really wanted a Dr. Pepper. I grew up calling everything a coke. "What kind of coke would you like?" "Dr. Pepper or Sprite please". Now I've switched to soda. Makes me a wee bit sad.
