C is for Christmas Cookie!

So far on my list:
Lemon-Cranberry cookies (already made); Citrus Biscotti (already made)
Double Chocolate Peppermint cookies; Cranberry Chocolate Chip; Oatmeal-Cranberry-Chocolate Chip; Oatmeal Chocolate Chip; Pignoli
Gingerbread cookies (frosted); and Caramel Cashew cookies.

I'm also making candies:
Marshmallows (already made); Turkish Delight (already made); Salted Caramels (dipped in dark chocolate); Jarred ganache - a family fav;
Truffles (many different flavors); Toffee; and Pistachio Brittle.

I know it sounds like a lot, but I think I can get most of the cookies done in about a week. The candies might take a little longer. I already made one batch of salted caramels, but my husband found them and took them into work as presents for his staff.

Classic Cookbooks: Alexis's Brown-Sugar Chocolate Chip Cookies

wow...1 pound of butter and 3 cups of brown sugar?! i'm definitely going to try them. i just won't tell my guests how much butter is in the cookies...

From Serious Eats

Cook the Book: 'Top Chef'

Depends on the competition...

For cooking, I'd make my grilled Flank Steak (marinated with Indian spices) served with fresh sweet potato fries. Or maybe my Hungarian Goulash served with Basmati rice or Couscous. Both meals are always a huge hit for whoever I make it for.

For baking, I'd prepare my Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake, topped with fresh fruit and a drizzle of my dark chocolate ganache. Or maybe I'd make my famous Double Chocolate Peppermint cookies. They're a rich, fudgy cookie with a peppermint-confectioner's glaze.
