From Behind the Bar: On Not Being Creepy

This issue is especially difficult to deal with when the offending creep is a regular customer at your bar. It's hard to make him or her understand why their behavior is inappropriate (they often believe they are being charming or pleasantly sociable), without alienating them at the same time.

I had a sliced beef heart reuben last week. Buttered artisan rye bread, house-made sauerkraut and garlic mustard and a side of pickled milkweed pods and pickled quail eggs. rich, tangy, wonderful.

The Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry at British McDonald's

They have this in Canada as well. Somehow, it loses all the appeal of the Creme Egg itself. The goo gets lost in the goopy ice cream, making it even sweeter and cloying. You're basically left with extra-sweet sloppy soft-serve and low quality chocolate.

I used to get this all the time!

I've also had this, in Las Vegas of all places. I also enjoyed it very much. It's a very surprising taste (it was part of a tasting menu and I'd missed the waiter's introduction) and the sweet-bitter doesn't leave that lingering, cloying sweetness you find in some sorbets. delish

Dinner Tonight: Bread and Tomato Soup

I've had this as a seasonal special (right at peak tomato season) at a local bistro. This sounds pretty much like what I had, a generous portion of asiago shavings was added to the bowl. A rich, delicious treat!
