The Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurry at British McDonald's
They have this in Canada as well. Somehow, it loses all the appeal of the Creme Egg itself. The goo gets lost in the goopy ice cream, making it even sweeter and cloying. You're basically left with extra-sweet sloppy soft-serve and low quality chocolate.
I used to get this all the time!

well he does look like Rocco DiSpirito

I've also had this, in Las Vegas of all places. I also enjoyed it very much. It's a very surprising taste (it was part of a tasting menu and I'd missed the waiter's introduction) and the sweet-bitter doesn't leave that lingering, cloying sweetness you find in some sorbets. delish

Dinner Tonight: Bread and Tomato Soup
I've had this as a seasonal special (right at peak tomato season) at a local bistro. This sounds pretty much like what I had, a generous portion of asiago shavings was added to the bowl. A rich, delicious treat!
Dinner Tonight: Bread and Tomato Soup
I just wanted to submit the original tuscan version of this recipe, that is delicious although I agree, when your teeth are good it might get boring however, if the tomatoes are fresh and ripe the flavor of the basil and extra virgin olive oil will thrill you.
p.s. my mother used to add some leek to the oil and garlic

damn looks like a sure thing for next years awards

Just to nitpick: poutine isn't a Montreal food. It's from the Warwick area (exact town still under debate). Most people only eat poutine in Montreal because they don't go to smalltown Quebec, but I don't think the big city should automatically get the credit for what happens in the rest of the province.

Debris rocks! I too prefer it over anything else at Mothers. But maybe it's a good thing....or my waistline....that this decadent stuff is so inaccessible.

I work at McDonalds and didn't know they had started the promotion yet!
Fancy finding out on Serious Eats first.

I'd rather have a nice safe and sane Cadbury chocolate bar in one of its many incarnations rather than eat one of those CC Eggs or attempt to take even a straw-ful of that Mc Flurry...
Definitely would NOT be something I would try if I went to the UK.

Too bad their ice cream tastes like plastic.

Loved them as a kid. Not a fan of them as an adult. But if this were around these parts, I think I would have to try it just to say I did. Wow.
Why the flip isn't the Butterfinger one on the menu anymore? By far the best... And how about a Reeses Pieces McFlurry!? McFlurrys are the only reason to even set foot into a McDonalds in the first place.

"Of course, there's nothing stopping you from making your own Cadbury Creme Egg shake at home."
nothing except good taste.

When I was a student my roommate and I decided to bake a Cadbury Creme Egg stuffed chocolate bundt cake for a party we were hosting. We fantisized about cutting into this great chocolate cake and slicing into a gooey Creme Egg, Tunnel of Fudge style. Unfortunately while baking the creme filling turned rock hard, and we had to eat the cake around the hard lumps. What a waste of 6 Creme Eggs - a big financial investment at that time!

i think that's the point, sophia. also, in canada, tim horton's roll-up-the-rim campaign always coincides with lent... it's all a plot to undermine people's efforts to abstain from chocolate and coffee!

Don't they know it is lent? ? ?

I still say that one of the best desserts I've ever eaten was a McFlurry in Ireland made with Crunchie Bar pieces (chocolate-covered honeycomb toffee) - Cadbury chocolate rocks! I would definitely try this out!

Mmmm... Cadbury puss eggs... Wait no - grossness.

But in the US, you have Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs, which have the perfect chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio. I used to plan trips to the states after Easter, so I could stock up on the discounted bags of Reese's Eggs.

This is usually my favourite Mcflurry of the year!!
We have creme eggs here all year round - and the new twisted creme egg bars which are fabulous!

if my hubby saw this, he would be packing his bags and moving away. Looks horrible to me though! so.much.sugar.

I'm not sure if I want to laugh or cry, salivate or vomit, at the sight of this confection. All of the above perhaps?

One of my friends lurks around Micky D's every year around Easter waiting for the arrival of the creme egg mcflurry. For her it is a celabration, to be enjoyed as often as possible until they are gone for another year.

Wait, Cadbury sells its eggs in England YEAR ROUND? Cadbury Creme Eggs are my very favorite candy -- I start pacing drugstore aisles in January. Nonetheless, I think this shake would kill me.

Cringed at the thought of Iced Tea in the UK? They do Ice Tea here, especially when it's hot outside.
Keanu Reeves to Star in Chef Movie
This must be Kitchen Confindential , same premise. Never read the book but I really liked the tv show. Don't think Keanu can pull it off in the same way as Bradley Cooper, he doesnt have any personality .
