An Ode to Frango Mints

I'm a native Illinoisian and I recently bought several boxes of Frangos to give to my coworkers in Europe as a specifically Chicago treat. I don't know if the formula has changed in the last couple of years (haven't had Frangos for at least two), or if my tastes have changed after living here, but I suddenly found them awful after loving them my whole life. whatever sweetener they use (I'm assuming HFCS) takes prominence over the mint taste, and the texture is chalky and unappealing. whatever the reason, I'll just blame Macy's for ruining the brand. :(

Hot Doug's in Chicago: Good Hot Dogs and Good Neighbors in Line

I must be missing something, but why is the line going down California in that picture? it usually goes around the opposite way, down Roscoe.

I hope the New Yorkers who were lucky enough to get tickets enjoy the Doug's experience tonight!

I cook with onions most often. I can't seem to get through a loaf of bread before it goes bad.
