New Orleans: Get a Steamer on Bourbon Street at Clover Grill

+1 On the LGBT places. It would be a great resource and I'm sure an excellent read.

The Best Way To Eat Breakfast at McDonald's

This is my clutch move but for the sausage burrito (the $1 ones!). Load it up with hot sauce and it's DELICIOUS

Might also want to consider subbing coconut oil for the veggie oil if you want a thinner, magic shell esque coating :-)

I wonder if I can deep fry this.

United States of Pizza: Maryland

I just had a date night at Pacci's the other day. Really great pizza, we split an app and a pizza, plus two glasses of chianti. Out for less than $40. 100 percent recommend for an inexpensive date night with great food in a great space.

Matchbox, Ledo's, and Mia's are all great as well. This is a pretty solid and comprehensive list. Way to do it.

Maple Black Pepper Pork Chops

@neeki Maybe some whipped garlic sweet potatoes? Or a slaw of apple, fennel and manchego? Just some ideas.

Cook the Book: Village Fries

2nd on the soggy fries comment. Never had a good batch of fries from there. I've had better cold fries from Five Guys than a fresh batch from GSE.

Maybe just a shake bar?

Cook the Book: Farmhouse Bacon Cheeseburgers

I've never had a good burger from Good Stuff Eatery on CapHill (even when Spike is manning the kitchen). The fries are pretty dismal too...

But the toasted marshmallow milkshakes? Those are to die for.

Cook the Book: Tuna-Stuffed Hard-Boiled Eggs

These look amazing.

My mom made deviled eggs with tuna salad, but with bacon and cheddar in the mix. So good.

Jose Andres' bacon wrapped, fried dates and his chicken croquetas from Jaleo.

Definitely would be my last meal

Cook the Book: 'Pig: King of the Southern Table'

The whole thing. I did a pig pickin for my 30th last year, and was just amazed at how incredible every inch was. I just love pork, period.

Fresh Food on TV

Jose Andres has a new show on PBS called "Jose Andres Made in Spain" which is part travelouge, part cooking show.

It's pretty neat (though the concept of him flying back and forth between here and Spain gets old quick). The cooking is amazing (if you've evr been to Jaleo, you know what I mean) and the places he visits in Spain make you want to pack up and move there, if just for the food.

It's airs on Saturdays on WETA here in DC, but as always, times and channels may vary.

Eric Ripert Between Two Buns

I had Micheal Richard's Central burger the other day, and I must say, it was worth the $18.

Also, I asked for mayo for my fries, and they brought over their house made stuff, and the waiter went on and on about how good it was.

He was right.

$18 burgers are a once every other month treat, but people should definitely indulge.

Also, why would I go all the way over to the West End of DC for a burger???

Besides my own barbecue, the best BBQ in DC is Capital Q for you Texans, and Hogs on the Hill for you everyone else.
