I stayed @ Sapori Di Campagna in July 2006 and am returning in 2 days time for another 2 weeks!! I fell in love with Abruzzo, the culture and the food but not so the additional 5 kilos I took home with me :-) I loved reading your bio on your trip to this region, you described the food at Sapori so perfectly, I was drooling at the thought.

The last time I was in Sulmona I had a dish called fegatelli. Quite interesting and not something typically found in the USA.
