Video: The Terrible Garbage Burger, a Burger Topped with a Hot Fudge Sundae and More

I think you'd have to be pregnant, high or my ex-cousin with no sense of smell/taste to enjoy this. Ice cream on a burger? Beeeewwwwrfff.

Hummus Place on St. Mark's between 1st and Avenue A. A HUGE hummus, pita and a soda plus tax and tip will only set you back ten dollars. I went there Thursday and I just might go again tomorrow!

Bulk Sherbet...in Brooklyn?

What part of Brooklyn?

'Cause if it's L-train or M-train territory, there's a Food Bazaar off the Myrtle-Wyckoff stop that's HUGE and probably has what you're looking for.

And when I say parking, I mean an on-site lot.

Lucky's Famous Burgers in Chelsea

Funny you should mention Rockwell's, jess8328.

Within the past week, I've eaten at both Rockwell's and Lucky's (though at the Hell's Kitchen location).

The meals came to the same price (10 and change) for a burger, fries and soda combo.

Lucky's was good, comparable to Shake Shack and much less crowded, but I didn't appreciate them not asking if I wanted lettuce or tomato (I didn't), and the shop itself was kinda dingy. I appreciated getting a lot more fries than I would have at Shake Shack. I also (thanks to my poor budgeting at a street fair) was a little short on change and they told me not to worry about it. That was nice. I'd eat there if I was with a friend, but the next time I go for a burger, I'll go to the Shack, they're a dollar eighty nine cheaper and closer to a big concentration of cute puppies.

Rockwells offers "boring" burgers (their words, not mine) and "mix-in" burgers. Their fries are delightful. The mix-in burgers (up to four mixins, including bacon, cheese or veggies, and your choice of sauce) are cheaper and therefore a better deal than the boring burgers but to those who prefer to have cheese ON rather than IN their burgers it can be a little disconcerting. Mine TASTED like it had bleu cheese, onion and bacon in it but maybe it was just flavoring. It was tasty and the place was cute, but again, I'd rather go to The Shack. Unless it's raining.

Bulgogi Burger from Song 7.2 in the East Village

It's a fantastic deal, not going to lie. I had it during their fall special when it was 5 dollars. That being said, the sauce was a little off-putting to me. I like Korean foods and flavors, and I LOVE burgers, but together it was just kind of...eh. I'd order it again if my friends dragged me to Song 7.2 (and it is a cute space, especially on a sunny fall day), but it's not something I'd make a special trip into Manhattan for like I would for Shake Shack.

Shake Shack (get there early to beat lines)...it's in a park, there are plenty of benches.

Five Bucks, Five Dishes, High Five? Lunch Box Buffet/Fay Da Bakery in Midtown West

I went there last night and tax is included now, so if you want something for five dollars, it's ACTUALLY five dollars. And I didn't get the runs like I did at one of the Mott St. establishments (hot dog bun + five hour bus to Boston in the middle of January = bad news)

Oxymorons

I never order a supersized big Mac meal but I do get fairly fattening fast food with a diet Coke. I'm so used to drinking it that I don't even like the regular stuff and thanks to all the preservatives, I'm 23 and don't look a day over 12.

How do you serve Gefilte Fish?

I grew up eating the "Fishlets" and horrifying my babysitters. I cannot STAND gefilte fish with the "mucus" on it.
