Cook the Book: 'Baked, New Frontiers in Baking'
As a kid, I could NOT get enough strawberry cake. Any occasion there was a need for a cake, I demanded strawberry cake.
To this day, my mom still believes I love it so there's always some waiting for me when I go home.
Even if I have outgrown it, it's probably the most love-filled dessert I eat all year, so how could it not taste good? :)
Cook the Book: 'Fat'
I love putting a little bit of duck fat into my mashed potatoes. It feels so wrong, but tastes so right!
Sweet Ticket Giveaway, Week 3: Pichet Ong's Guilty Pleasure Sweet
Pretty much anything from the Dessert Truck. I have to chain myself to my desk during business hours just to save myself!

Cook the Book: Jamie at Home
To me, winter is chili season! My parents make a killer venison chili that I can't help but get cravings for whenever the NY winter winds pick up :(

Cook the Book: Win a Copy of 'Cook with Jamie'
I'd love to say my mom or grandmom but I largely ignored what little they tried to teach me when I was young. It wasn't until I got older, developed my own interests and discovered Good Eats and the zen of Alton that I think I really start my journey of learning how to cook.
Weekend Book Giveaway: 'Secret Ingredients, the New Yorker Book of Food and Drink'
No single writer has affected me as much as Anthony Bourdain. While there are certainly better writers from a technique or educational standpoint, few can match Bourdain from an overall entertainment perspective.

Grilled salmon. So easy and quick.
Dinner Tonight: Lamb Chops with Garlic and Anchovies
I had a chance to make this last night. It came out beautifully! I used a skillet that was a bit too large so next time I'll downsize so the garlic and chops are a bit more crowded and can mingle and get to know each other better.
Cook the Book: 'The Martha Stewart Living Cookbook: The New Classics'
I've made stuff from Everyday Food, but nothing from Martha directly
Cook the Book: 'The Martha Stewart Living Cookbook: The Original Classics'
I've never made a "Martha Stewart" recipe per se, but I have made several recipes from Everyday Food (both the magazine and TV show) which are Martha Stewart productions, so that counts...right?
