Have you reviewed the restaurant that won yet? That bun looks too substantial and the unmelted 3 layers of cheese is a huge problem imo. At this rate, I'm not going to eat burgers in Milwaukee.

I can relate to the frustration of not having Martin's rolls. Couldn't find them anywhere back at home. I solved the problem by moving to New York. On top of having the rolls, I now live 3 blocks away from Shake Shack :)

Having grown up with kimchi these things seem so strange to me, except the soup (and maybe the pork). I can think of 50 things to do with kimchi, and butter, hot dogs, quesidillas, grilled cheese, grits, bloody marys, omelets, and meatballs are definitely not among them.

I always ask for my burgers "mostly pink" rather than medium-rare or whatever. That way when it comes out and is not pink at all I don't get the "that's medium-rare to us" reply.

Same here! One of my best friends moved out there about two years ago and I send him recs all the time. The last time I visited him, he made a point of visiting some of the better burger spots I had steered him towards! It's like investing into future good times.
