Peter Luger or Dumont Burger?

If you must go to Luger, eat half of it, and then walk across the street to Diner for the other half.

You need to eat the Diner burger. Don't put condiments or anything on it. Just get it mid-rare, close it, and eat it. The other two aren't worth your time.

Hi!
Dan here from VendrTV. Love that you're planning a food crawl. If you're in LA I'd make sure to look into Jonathan Gold's writing in planning your adventure.

I'd be happy to offer suggestions. Feel free to email me. Dan at vendr dot tv

The Food Lab: Perfect Boiled Eggs

Fantastic article!

Had a question - I tend to buy my eggs at the farmers market... as a result, they're not refrigerated, making the internal temperature higher.

Have you done any tests with such an egg?

For a soft boil, saying they rest at around 68 degrees, would that cut my time in half?

Thanks!
Dan

@wunami Good Question! We were originally going to call the show that, but at the last minute changed it. All the future episodes, urls, and branding reflect the name as it stands, VendrTV. Sorry for any confusion this might have caused!

@chanterelle I know! We've had a ton of trouble finding vendors in DC. It seems there's a guy there, Sam Williams, who's working pretty aggressively to make vending easier. Hopefully he gets his way.

If you have any suggestions, please shoot them my way, dan@vendr.tv.

Thanks for the support!

@DanielJ - As with most startups, the early few months are quite costly. Hopefully we'll be able to make up for that in time. Right now it's just a small group of really passionate foodies, some good cameras, and enthusiasm.

@beersnob - I didn't check my levels and had doofus turned to 11. We'll fix it for the future.
