Dave, I think the Perfect-Cube Tovolo trays are probably the closest you will find. I have been on a mission to find trays to make big, beautiful perfectly cubed ice cubes ever since I went to the Velvet Tango Room in Cleveland. (Check it out!) It's a bar for foodie/traditional/serious drinkers where the ice cubes are nearly 2" perfectly square and are frozen to -30F! They never melt, look beautiful, and never water down your drink. Since I live in Chicago, I'm trying to replicate that feel - though I might have trouble with the -30F part!
