Serious Grape: New Year, New Wine
Mine was similar; I resolved to try a wine from a new appellation or a new varietal at least once a month. January started off with an interesting Riesling from Idaho, and it looks like February will have some wine from the Coteaux de Zacar in Algeria. March will be Tannat, from Progreso in Uruguay (home of my favorite Torrontes!). I've not planned/purchased past that, but a quick shopping trip in the beginning of January, combined with asking questions at my local wine store, will give me at least 3 months worth of stuff to try!
After all, life's too short to drink the same stuff all the time.

I've also experienced the duck burgers at Cindy's (at the recommendation of the staff at one of the wineries I visited), and have to agree with the full review and Texas Blues' comment -- the sweet of the sauce was almost dominant, and the burger needed more fat, as it was a little on the dry side. Still, it was an excellent alternative-meat burger, and it's something I recommend any time I find out someone's going to visit wine country.
