The Food Network Cookwear
The Food Network Cookware sets are fantastic. I've been using mine for almost a year now and haven't had any issues. The set is perfect for what I like to cook and I love the glass lids. This set also has a lifetime warrenty. Way to go Food Network! The best thing is the price. All Clad would have cost me twice as much as the Food Network 10 pcs. set. Cooking at home shouldn't be so cost prohibitive!

If you pay attention almost 90% of cookware is made in China or Thailand by the same manufacturer. I've had my Food Network Tri-ply set for about a year now and haven't had any issues. All my meals turn out great! Maybe it's the oil you are using? It may be racid which can have a metalic flavor or Safflower oil is gives food a strange flavor.
I did lots of research before buying this set and the FN set has all the right pieces and a price you can't beat anywhere. Especially when it's on sale at Kohl's. Oh and I noticed you can now buy their cookware on the Food Network Store website!
