Christmas candy

I would like to know if anyone has some tips for making divinity candy. Will it be successful if made in damp weather? I have always heard not to make it if it is not sunny and dry. I am afraid it is not going to be much of one or the other until Christmas. The weather is not good or forecast to get better. Any help is appreciated if someone has some advice.
