Dinner Tonight: Chipped Beef Gravy

My dad used to make this for us for breakfast on weekends, and it was a treat. My kids and husband all love it, altho I use the frozen Stouffer's version over biscuits now. Pretty close in taste, and way quicker. This is an American classic!

Brazil Nuts: The Forgotten Nut

I use Brazil nuts in homemade caramels along with dried cranberries. I'd cut up the cooled caramels, wrap them in wax paper and called them Scarlett Kisses. This is just about the only homemade Christmas treat my now-grown daughter still asks for every year.

Easter 2009: What are Your Plans?

Lamb chops, asparagus with orange hollandaise, deviled eggs, and a salad of baby greens with strawberries and almonds. I'm loving reading these menus -- I hadn't decided on dessert, but carrot cake is an excellent idea -- bunny food -- and all the mentions of coconut cake sound great!
