Al Bernardin, Creator of McDonald's Quarter Pounder and More, Dead at 81
Anybody who equates the horrible baked apple pie with the deep fried apple pie of yore at McDonalds is unserious, at best. Everyday in high school, my lunch was 2QPs and a hot apple pie. And I am still alive (although my gallbladder gave up the ghost at 26)
The last time I was at a Whataburger, THEY still had a deep fried apple pie. I just wish the nearest one wasn't 350 miles away.

As a long-suffering Dolphins fan, I am going to sit back and enjoy the game and root for the Giants because I hate the stinking Pats. Also, I've admired the Giants under Coughlin ever since they played balls out in the supposedly meaningless last game of the 2007 regular season against the undefeated stinking Pats--just for the integrity of the game. It seemed the football gods blessed them for it, because they defeated those same stinking Pats in the Super Bowl that season.
There will also be some Newcastle Brown Ale involved--even more if the stinking Pats win. LaFrieda sliders and NBA seem made for each other, don't you think?
