I was such a freak about cereal all the way until college. During high school, I'd be hungry from soccer practice and eat a couple bowls a day. Honey Bunches of Oats was a favorite. Always light, crunchy, and sweet without being over the top. I love the original and the one with almonds.
Homemade whipped cream and strawberries. Simple but so good!
Yep, my mom always puts ketchup and slices of hot dog in her arroz con pollo. My little cousins go crazy for it, and it is the only thing they eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner when they stay at my parents' house.
Oh, and yes, I grew up calling peas petits pois in Spanish. ;)

For cookies and muffins, I sometimes use whole wheat flour for half of the flour called for. Hasn't made too much of a difference, still delicious!

I'm not a big vodka fan, especially not drinking the stuff straight. But I'm curious enough to want to try one that is supposed to taste less like nothing. The bottle is also interesting, looks like something from a modern apothecary. (if that makes any sense!)

Cool. I'm a former vegan/vegetarian and the appreciation for vegetables has stayed with me. I still eat vegetarian most of the time. A big hunk of steak no longer interests me, but I sometimes eat things like prosciutto and good cheeses.
If you're going to try a veggie burger recipe, please try to recreate the beet burger at Deschutes Brewery in Portland. It's outstanding! So different and flavorful.
I grew up in Miami but moved when I was 17. I'm now a much more adventurous eater, but recently I went home and had dinner at Meat Market. So good! Instead of bread, you're given chewy and spicy Peruvian corn to nibble on. The sweet potato fries were cut into five thick chunks that managed to be crispy, light and perfect with a creme fraiche dip.
Living in Tampa now, where the creativity award goes to The Refinery. Not my favorite, but they do change the menu every week. I once ordered a lasagna soup there.

I was vegetarian for a few years and vegan for a part of that time. It amazed me to see people write off delicious food just because they were told it was vegetarian. So childish! And there was often the implication that it wasn't as good as something with meat in it. I heard a lot of, "Oh, that's good for being vegetarian."
Too bad. Those people are missing out on some great food!
