Poulet's One-Pot Coconut Chicken over Jasmine Rice

15min prep time for this is optimistic at best. I'm a rank amateur and it took me a good 30mins. Will probably try swapping kale for the bok choy next time. Also...a 2lb chicken is more like a game hen, no?

The bone-in Ribeye is also called a Cowboy Steak. Definitely my favorite cut.

A Sandwich a Day: Ginger Sesame Chicken Roll-up at The Mission in San Diego, CA

@grisha... lighten up? srsly? I was just stating that I don't think this is a sandwich. It's my opinion, and some folks will certainly agree. You don't have to though.

I just have a more specific idea of what a sandwich is... some kind of filling with a bready type thing above and below. Hence the term "sandwiched", which means to be between two things, not rolled in something. Again...just an opinion from a sandwich purist.

I'm calling shenanigans on this one. Roll-up? Srsly? Don't get me wrong, it looks tasty, but it's not a sandwich. ;)

Love the Cocchi Cup at Nopa. It's not to be missed.

San Francisco: Serpentine's Burger is Top-Tier

I agree...the look out of place, but they're quite good as they don't take away from the patty. Also worth noting are the fresh pickled onions and pickles. Sooo good.

San Francisco: Serpentine's Burger is Top-Tier

I agree...this burger is top (or nearly the top) of the list for SF. Way better and actually cheaper than Joe's Cable Car, and it comes on a real plate, not plastic. Plus the staff is always super nice.

Gadgets: Silicone Slip-On Pour Spout by RSVP

Great...more unnecessary plastic for our landfills and oceans.

The Cable Car Burger Battle of '09 in San Francisco: Joe's vs. Tony's

Joe's is all hype. There are so many better burgers in the city that are cheaper, that come w/ fries and that don't come on plastic plates.

Sweet Potato Fries -- Who Likes These Things?

I love sweet potato fries, but I agree. They have to be perfect. So far the best ones I've found are at Toast in San Francisco, I think they're better than the others due to their particular cut. Rather than being a thick square cut, they're kind of a smaller rectangular cut, which I think keeps them crispy.

PBJ Debate: Jelly-Side Up or Down?

Whoa...am I the only one that was perplexed when you said top and bottom of a PB&J? Is there such a thing? For any sandwich for that matter. My sandwich making is entirely random I guess. Top, bottom, sides... It never even occurs to me when I build a sandwich. I guess I'm more function than form when it comes to these things, though I will admit to focusing on even distribution of the contents.
