Also, it's incredibly hard to make definitive statements in BBQ because consistency is always a problem, even at the best spots. However, putting Fatty Cue and Mighty Quinn up there with Hill Country and BrisketTown on brisket just seems plain wrong.
We just moved to the neighborhood on Dean between 6th and Carlton. This is fantastic! Question - any more delivery suggestion besides Born Thai? We probably order delivery 3-5 days per week. Also, I'll trade my dog to anyone who can recommend a good chicken parm dinner? We used to live in the LES and are seriously missing Frank on delivery.
First, it should never be cut thick. Second, if you think it's SPAM, do a head to head taste test. It's not even close to SPAM.

But do any LA deli's hand carve their pastrami? No matter how good the meat is, the slicing method can play just as much of a role in sandwich quality.
