Cook the Book: 'Top Chef'

Fried chicken (as taught to me by my mother... which I'd be sure to mention, for the emotional appeal), grilled brussel sprouts (accompanied by an extended speech about eating healthy), secret recipe mashed potatoes (because I clearly haven't driven home the "down home" aspect of the challenge yet) and a shot of whiskey (because I've never worked with a chef who wasn't at least a moderate drinker).

For desert: Back talk and indignation to the judges when they declare my meal "too pedestrian" and criticize it for "not telling a story".
