My New Favorite Burger: The Shack Stack
I still cant believe that the veggie laced burger is the unhealthiest thing I ever ate there.
'New York Post' Goes All Backlash on Us, Attacking Fancy-Pants Food Trucks
The NY Post: trolling way before the internet forum was invented. I think my blood pressure would be a dozen points lower if I never had to read or be reminded of the NY Post and their brand of "journalism"
Let's not forget that worldwide street food is diverse and plentiful. NYC is a haven for foodies but now that the trucks have upped the ante on streetfood it can only be a good thing. Why limit ourselves to hotdogs, ( and I do love a dirty water dog once in a while) and Halal? I say bring on the tamale carts, chinatown's fried anything carts and wide variety that the foodtrucks are bringing.
How to Politely Take Food Photos in Restaurants
Nice topic as photography is both my passion and my profession. Food is right up there too.
I use the Lumix LX3 for non-studio, non-paying food shots because a) f2.0 lens means I dont need flash usually. b) small size to not be much of a distraction c) 24mm equiv. wide lens lets me stay close and not need to back up to shoot.
Candle is always nice to use for a light. I'll also my iPhone as a flashlight and dial in whatever color light I want. Not so good for a whole plate but great for small dishes/detail shots.
Always get a window table whenever possible and using a napkin as a reflector works like a charm.

Ah I do love a nice slice or two or three of Entenmann's Pound Cake.
One of my favorites ways to serve it is to toast 2 slices on a pan, spread peanut butter on one piece and nutella on the other (both on the hottest/most recently toasted side so they melt) and make a sandwich. Top with Vanilla Ice Cream, letting it melt briefly before serving so that you have a little sauce.
On a side note: I always have to put the cakes (in the box) in a bag and hang them up in my apt. Otherwise my cat would slice the cellophane open then eat the strip of butter and leave the rest of the cake untouched.
She already knows how to open the cabinets.
Altho I have come home and found her hanging onto the bag before.
