I absolutely LOVE sweet potatoes!! The recipe for Olive Oil, Caramelized Onion, and Sage Mashed Sweet Potatoes sounds wonderful because it's a change from the usual sweet toppings and flavors that are usually paired with them.

In Philadelphia, a Pizzazz Pizza Is Topped with American Cheese

I'm from Philly and I have heard of this before due to my boyfriend who works in a pizza shop...however they call it an American pie. I've never tried it though as I'm not really a fan of american cheese.

Cook the Book: 'Modern Spice'

I pretty much cook everything as it is but I would really love to learn how to cook authentic indian and/or thai food! I'm addicted to it and spend too much $$ on it while eating out.

Seriously Delicious Super Bowl Party Giveaway: La Frieda Black Label Burgers

Dinner Tonight: Red Snapper with Tomatoes and Olives Baked in Foil

I was also going to comment on the tomato/foil combo-- big NO NO.

Serious Efforts: Oily Mac n' Cheese

Another reason this may happen is when you make your roux and bechemel. The recipe should contain an even amount of fat and flour. Melt the butter then add the flour and cook it for a while until it turns an almost white color (it will seem a little long to be cooking but it's fine, trust me). Then add the milk and cook it until it comes to a FULL boil and thickens to coat the back of the spoon. Then add your cheese until melted and pour immediately over the pasta. I also wouldn't rinse your pasta either b/c the starch left on it will help soak up any excess oil.

In Love with Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses

Marsala Wine Shelf Life

So I have a bottle of Marsala wine that I purchased to use strictly for cooking. It is a screw top bottle and I opened it almost a year ago and haven't touched it since. I am going to make a tiramisu and was wondering is this wine still ok to use or no?
