Flattening Chicken Breasts?

Butterflying the breast before flattening has really helped me on several occasions

Leftover BBQ

Note, the added sauce will keep it moist and by making more surface area you heat it a lot faster.

Also, what's wrong with eating it cold? Slice it thin and use it like lunch meat.

Leftover BBQ

try shredding it and adding it to a pan with some sauce. Makes for excellent loose meat sandwiches, burritos or tacos.

What is your "give up" meal?

My give up has always been a grilled cheese with tomato soup. It's comforting and familiar but I usually mix it up by getting a fire roasted tomato soup of some sort and using artisan bread and cheese. Adding a little pesto, some herbs, curry powder, red curry or what ever delicious flavorant I have on hand makes it more special.

Their burgers are little meat pucks but the vast array of crap you can put on them are worth eating.

Fancy dinner in Washington, DC

I went to BLT steak for a dinner the other night and I would highly recommend it. They have an amazing $60 prix fixe menu that's to die for. For $60 you get appetizer, main course, side dish and desert. They also have an awesome selection of just main courses and family style sides.

And best of all, you can get there easily from either of the farragut metro stations and you'll have a nice little walk through farragut square.
