What's delicious in Jersey City?

Oh man you are in for a treat!

I've been living in Jersey City for about a year now, and I am still discovering everything...

I live near the Grove Street Path, so I can only really report on that area, but below is a list of some of the places I suggest you try..

Soul Food- 354 Grove St: Great southern cooking...I went with my family and we tried most everything on the menu..service was a little slow, but it was slow because they spend so much time cooking everything..

Marco and Pepe - 289 Grove St: Really good selection of New American food and wine, casual and fun. excellent mac and cheese, and you can buy Balthzar bread from there if you need it with your dinner from home!

Madame Claude Cafe- 364 1/2 4th st: Great french food in a small and intimate space. It is BYOB, so you just buy a bottle from one of the many liquor stores and bring it over. Prices are very reasonable. The pate plate is very good, and I always recomend getting the soup of the day.

Pecoraro Bakery - 279 Newark Ave: AMAZING bread..They are open at random times, but if you go early saturday mornings you usually get the pick, the stuffed sausage bread is my personal favorite and a good value for $4

Enjoy the area, and let me know if you find some new places your self!
