First of all, I pretty much agree with everything you wrote, but I have some additions for the list. For starters, I don't know how you missed Silver moon bakery on 105th and broadway, best bakery in the neighborhood and one of the best in NYC imho. Warique Peruvian on 101st and Amsterdam makes a really nice roasted chicken and delicious ceviches. Buca pizza on 103rd btwn amsterdam and broadway is a small little place, but they make some really nice italian food, including their pizzas, which are almost a cross between roman and Neapolitan. Jerusalem restaurant on 104th and broadway for falafal, schwarma, hummus, etc. Great breakfasts at Kitchenette at 123rd and amsterdam. Last, there's a good italian place called Covo at 135th and 12th avenue, it has a really nice atmosphere and delicious food.

Behind The Scenes At Steve's Ice Cream: In The Test Kitchen

Just tried the store at Bryant Park, the salty caramel ice cream is out of this world! They also had a lot of other really good looking stuff there. I highly recommend it!

The Corner Slice: The Best Slice near 101st and Broadway

You should have tried Mama's pizza at 106th and amsterdam, I often get that over sal and carmines because it's a lot cheaper, and it's a pretty good slice, much better than cheesy or broadway

Get Ready for Serious Eats NY Bakery Week

Silver Moon bakery, for all of their breads. Their baguettes and all of their loaves of bread are constantly amazing! They also make great croissants, tarts and everything else, but you would be remiss not to try most of their breads.

One day in Boston

Thanks for the recs so far. I'll probably try Flour Bakery so I can get a sandwich for the train ride back to NYC. I guess I was a little vague on dinner. I'm going to be with a friend who doesn't like seafood, so that's pretty much out for us (though I would have it myself). I'm really looking for anything that will serve some good American Food. Burgers, pastas etc would be nice. Thanks in advance

Where should I eat in NYC?

You should definitely go to absolute bagels for your bagel. It's one of the best bagels in all of NYC and it's really close to Columbia (Broadway between 107th and 108th)

From Talk

Best baguette in NYC?

I'm partial to silvermoon bakery on 105th and broadway.
