Things I remember about this place: 1. This is the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in in my life, bar none. 2. The forearm dude could hold seven (seven!) dogs at once. Hairy or not, that's pretty impressive. 3. Dogs were pretty good and it was a fun, funky, slice of life place to grab lunch. David Lynch indeed.

As for Johnstown, we spent a day with our kids checking out all the Johnstown Flood historical sites, which were pretty interesting. A day well spent.

$2.95?!! What the heck? Growing up in LB I ate approximately 10 kajillion Joe's Specials before I moved away in '93. Back then I think they were maybe 50 cents? Although you never ordered just a Special, it was always "A Special and an egg." In fact I'm not sure I knew you could order a special without an egg.

It is worth noting, I believe, that the "really rude service" at Fried Dumpling on Mosco Street is part of the appeal. Kind of like the Soup Nazi (I guess), you haven't done Chinatown dumplings until you've been screamed at by the Fried Dumpling lady.

"Something about grilled fish gets lots in tacos" ... doesn't make sense to me.

"Place the beans and the chorizo in a Dutch oven over high heat, bring to a rolling boil."

Uh ... perhaps some water too?
