Ham sandwich with mustard and grapes! tasty, believe it or not xD if only i could find a way to keep the grape halves on there...
Oreo McFlurrie and Fries!!!!
Hamburger America: Taylor's Maid-Rite in Marshalltown, Iowa
This looks delicious to me! I would love to try that. Looks a bit odd but it sounds like it would be wonderful =]
Isn't that the beauty of the hamburger though? Appreciate the meat. Don't mess around with it. This place sounds awesome!
Spring or fall?
Oh that's a hard one! Winter squashes are amazing. Much better than zucchinis and other squashes like that in my opinion. But honestly, I'm not looking forward to leaving my summer berries.
So I pick neither. Summer all the way =]

isn't this pretty much a pressure cooker?

ooh that does look yummy. with the citrus honey and all =]
Flavor over Sweetness.
I love sweets, and I eat a lot of sweets, but I make sure that the sweets aren't too sweet, if that made sense =]
i like that article, but i only wish it were true for the general population. The super popular chocolate chocolate layer cakes that are 6 inches tall? So sugary you can't even taste the chocolate. I just wish people would realize that a lot of stuff just tastes better when its not a mine field of sugar. Thing is, people are so used to all the extra sugar that its not gonna be easy to get them to eat less.

that just might be the sketchiest thing I have ever seen...
Mixed Review: Jell-O Instant Pudding
ryushin... yeah I posted about scratch pudding. But only because the cooked mixes are HARDER to cook than scratch. With cooked pudding mixes you have to endlessly stir to prevent sticking, and carefully use gentle heat. It sucks!
Someone could make a pudding mix where the starch was separate from the sugar/flavoring. But until then, from scratch is much quicker and easier than any cooked pudding mix.
No reason for pudding mixes to have anything artificial, it's just sugar, flavor (coca powder for chocolate) and starch. They do need a modified food starch for instant pudding so that it sets up without heating (I don't think any natural starches have that characteristic).
Mixed Review: Jell-O Instant Pudding
@peekpoke: the series is called "Mixed Review:" because...why?
*ding* *ding* *ding* *ding* *ding*
It reviews MIXES! You get a "T" for being a troll! ;-)
@pooch: "instant" mixes will forever contain "chemicals", i.e., artificial flavorings, colors, etc. if you detest eating chemicals so much then by all means please stop reading Mixed Review. :-)
Not a fan of chocolate+mint combination so I guess I'll stick with the vanilla or, as suggested by other posters, the cookies and cream versions. :-)
Mixed Review: Jell-O Instant Pudding
The cookies and cream flavor is pretty darn tasty, but the cookies get really soggy after about a day in the fridge. They also have a chocolate flavor with either butterscotch or toffee flavored chips, but that one fell flat for me. It pretty much tasted of only chocolate.
Mixed Review: Jell-O Instant Pudding
Also, I'll probably get slaughtered for this, but I LOVE instant pudding and...... *cough cough* hate from scratch pudding. I have a problem with the texture, in the opposite way that most people do, I suppose.
Mixed Review: Jell-O Instant Pudding
Not sure where else to suggest this, but my vote for next Mixed Review (if there is any voting to be had) is for Trader Joe's new Beer Bread Mix. It's pretty darn good for a mix, especially with excellent beer. :)

My mom made this legendary sandwich only once in my life, and I still think about it from time to time. I've just never assembled the ingredients to make it myself (don't know why..the list is rather scant): white bread, Kewpie mayonnaise, and a generous sprinkling of rousong (an Asian pork condiment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rousong).
Crazy Combinations
But I'd also love to wrap myself around anything on this page: http://bit.ly/aurwd

Harriet M. Welsh was right: you can't beat a tomato sandwich.
Crazy Combinations
I'm one of those people who enjoys ranch on almost anything!!!!!! it's just one of those condiments that gets along with amost everyone (savoury I may add)
I'm not as crazy as some of you guys; so here's mine:
- cucumber + camembert sandwiches,
- sauerkraut perogies baked with chili and topped with cheddar
- plain mcchicken with their 'nugget mustard sauce'
- pizza sauce, green onion and canned shrimp baked with cheese on a honey-bun
@zerogirl: wow. thats.....interesting! do you make your own redcurrant jelly?
@FeedingFive: that burger sounds right up my hangover alley! I'll have to try that one iwth heavy heavy mayo
@carolow: PB + mayo sounds strange; but when I was young I would eat PB + cheesewhiz (when the rents werent' looking!) haha
Crazy Combinations
All I can say is--- why?
Even the biggest bender or herb withdrawl could not induce me to eat some of these combos.
Crazy Combinations
@tinat-- I used to love Cheetos and miracle whip when I was a kid, so Brie and Cheetos sounds right up my alley!
Crazy Combinations
We used to go to der Weinerschnitzel after a night out. My favorite meal to ward off a hangover was a hamburger (no cheese) with saurkraut on it and an order of chili-cheese fries with diced onion and jalepenos. It's a wonder I was so slender during college.
Crazy Combinations
My dad loves peanut butter and mayo sandwiches. Sounds really gross, but not too bad. I just don't prefer them.
As for grilled cheese sandwiches, I like to dip mine in ketchup. Yum!
Crazy Combinations
It's not a sandwich, but just discovered this weekend, brie and Cheetos!
Crazy Combinations
Fried egg sandwich slathered with yellow mustard - this from a guy who is SO picky you cannot use a herb or any kind of spice on any of his food, and canned vegetables only with his meat and potatoes - go figure!
Crazy Combinations
White bread with bananas, crispy bacon, blue cheese and dollops of cream cheese, topped with a mild melting cheese, grilled, sandwiched, and served with redcurrant jelly.
Crazy Combinations
I think most college campuses have a sandwich shop that specializes in these kind of things. The one time I had one, there were boneless wings, french fries, and some other stuff I can't remember. I was not impressed, and I am the queen of combining strange foods. I made a beef jerky and chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich once.
I used to work at a bagel place, and one of the dishwashers would always eat a bacon egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel with mayo and grape jelly. Yuck.
Crazy Combinations
Dark chocolate bar with pepperoni, salami, and ham, topped off with fresh mozzarella- all on Italian roll
Crazy Combinations
@ pjracz - nothing better than a leftover sandwich!! its my favorite part of thanksgiving lol
also my mom eats PB & J with pringles .... as in on the sandwich not on the side. she loves the crunch effect lol
Crazy Combinations
We used to get something called a Heart Attack calzone - which was mozzarella sticks and bacon! It was great, but the place that made them closed, sadly. I tried making them on my own and they were good but not quite the same.
Crazy Combinations
Grape jelly with turkey and gravy. When I was a kid my mother's whole cranberry sauce was too tart for me, so I tried grape jelly, which was great. I now use an assortment of jellies and jams with foods they don't typically go with. The grape jelly mixed with gravy and potato turned the whole mess into an extremely unappetizing gray, which totally grossed out my family and ensured that I'd keep doing it.
Crazy Combinations
Peanut butter and olives. The green mammoth kind or w/e. On flax bread. This store we buy bread from sometimes make this flax bread that tastes HORRIBLE on its own...i can't even describe what the off taste is about...but strangely it tastes delicious when paired with other things.
Crazy Combinations
Peanut Butter and cheddar cheese on a King's Hawaiian roll
Peanut Butter and Bacos or potato chips on 9-grain toast
cream cheese, jalapenos and roast beef (I recently read cream cheese and jalapenos is a favorite burger topping at a Colorado restaurant)
Crazy Combinations
Pickle and mustard sandwich on toast - best with sweet sliced pickles and yellow mustard. Dills are also good.
Crazy Combinations
@DELICIOUS that actually sounds really good, wonder how bacon would work with it?
I like to make a heaping mess with leftover holiday foods. Start with the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatos, corn, all the other veg's I like and massive gravy, put into pan, heat stirring everything up. Meanwhile split the rolls slather with mayo, cheddar and heat just to melt cheese, put on plate and pile that slop all over the rolls and top with cranberry sauce. Serve with leftover yams on the side. Another is a cold cheese sandwich with sweet cuc pickles and reg flavored potato chips inside.
