Taste Test: Salt and Vinegar Chips

Please, if you haven't tried the Target Archer Farms Salt and Vinegar-you are in for a treat. Honestly. Absolutely the best. They also had a killer maple barbeque flavor (and I don't like BBQ chips), but the Salt and Vinegar have spoiled me for any other brand. There is nothing like opening the bag and inhaling the smell. And I keep my unopened chips in the freezer-they actually stay nice and fresh.

Who amongst us, has the best pickiest eater story?

My late husband would only eat canned corn and green beans. Broccoli was termed "lttle trees" and forbidden on his plate. He loved turkey but wouldn't touch chicken-he refused to eat chicken fried steak for the longest time because it had the word chicken in it. I made pork chops in wine sauce when we were first married and he was convinced the chops had gone bad. His idea of a great meal was soup and sandwich and I love to cook. Homemade Thanksgiving stuffing-ick. Any meat with a sauce-ick. He swore he hated sour cream until I got tired of him eating onion dip and loving it and told him the truth. I have a friend who won't eat any white food (mayo, cream cheese, sour cream, yogurt) and one who will only eat mayo on her salad (which better just be lettuce and tomato). I also have adult friends who will go out to eat and only order chicken tenders and fries.

Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby Renamed 'Hubby Hubby' in Support of Gay Marriage

How sad that such a small gesture to once again be inclusive to all has so many people, for whatever reason, so angry. These are the same conservatives who are so worried about the elected President of the United States speaking to our kids to tell them to work hard and stay in school they want to refuse everybody's kids the right to see him. I let my child listen to Nancy Reagan with her "Just Say NO" campaign. Thank you Ben and Jerry's. I for one, have always been a fan and now am even more of a fan. I hope all those who are so anti gay never have a child that is homosexual-who are you to tell others how to live their life?

Money Saving Tips On Food

I work at a Super Target and if you live near one be sure and check their cut prices on items that are getting ready to expire. Many times bagged salads, produce, meat and deli items are reduced significantly (how does 75% sound?) . I find if I have a list and stick to it, I miss many savings because I am not looking for them. Ask the people that work there-become a regular customer- I have gotten T bone steak cheaper than what I would have paid for ground chuck. Don't rush your grocery shopping. Just don't go in thinking "I am just going to get the ham because it is on sale", and miss the block of cheddar cheese that is on price cut for 75 cents because you were afraid to look. Check the french fries in your local grocery-big bags are cheap and you just throw them in the oven. We used to have boxed macaroni and cheese with a can of tuna in it or some chili on top. Homemade soup made with leftovers with a loaf of crusty french bread you get for $1.50 or so. When we were truly broke, I got the canned biscuits (store brand) because anything tastes better with something fresh from the oven. Stir fry-use more veggies than meat.

Loved the story, and I think anything that can make you feel like a kid again is worth whatever you feel you can afford.

I eat ______ out of the tin/jar/bottle...

Please don't judge, but after a rough day last week I bought a can of Spam and dug it out of the can with a fork.
